YES on 3A Today!

GSV volunteers went back to school this week attending welcome back functions at over 30 schools.

The goal: to raise awareness about Education in the St. Vrain Valley in order to help our community to make informed decisions on the issues that impact the future of our schools. The effects of $20 million in cuts from the state over the past three years provided for rich conversations.

We are delighted to welcome over 800 new subscribers who signed up at these back to school events to become part of the ongoing conversation with Grassroots St. Vrain. If you haven’t heard our story, or just need a refresher, we invite to read our Spring Blog Post titled “Crisis to Coalition.”

One of our current projects relates to the August 8th decision by the St. Vrain Valley School District’s Board of Education to place a $14.8 million mill levy override on the November ballot.  Grassroots St. Vrain is taking an active role in supporting the “Yes on 3A” campaign by organizing volunteers to contribute in meaningful and manageable ways.

We need people this week to show support by allowing “Yes on 3A” to use their name in association with the campaign, including endorsement ads, campaign flyers, webpages and other related materials.

Together we are shaping the future of our community.  Please help us spread the word.
