Big Day at the Capitol Today!

True to our mission of raising awareness about education funding, we would like to highlight two important bills making their way through the Legislature that will impact how dollars from the state’s economic recovery will (or will not) make it to your child’s classroom.

The Student Success Act and the School Finance Act are both on the agenda for the House Education Committee right now.  As the discussion unfolds, stay current by following @ToddEngdahl from Chalkbeat on Twitter.

School Finance Differences Spark Historic Debate and have school districts and education leaders in one corner and lawmakers and reform groups in the other. Read a summary of both sides of the issue at the link above.

Do you want to get more information on how these bills might affect your child’s education?  Come and have coffee with us.  We have been following this debate closely since the beginning of the 2014 Legislative Session and would love to be a resource for you.
