Welcome Back!

Welcome to a newIMG_5599-Edit school year! Whether this is your first post from us, or you have been with us for years, we are connected by our desire for thriving schools that offer an excellent education for our kids. And we know that their education is impacted by school funding.

Grassroots St. Vrain began in 2008, at the same time school districts across the state were making deep cuts in programming and teaching positions due to the strains on Colorado’s budget.  We continue today to be a resource to parents, offering the facts about the myriad of funding issues that show up on our ballots, as well as providing ways to have our collective voice heard, both locally and at the state level.

As our children go back to school, so does Grassroots St. Vrain. We are excited about our summer project, two new videos spotlighting how the school funding process works in Colorado. (hint: it may be different from what you think!) We will be presenting these videos at parent meetings across the district this fall.

In the meantime, find us at school events such as Back to School night where we are excited to meet new families and reconnect with old friends.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for our event to learn more about the SVVSD Bond under consideration:
